TAP는 스마트 모듈과의 무선 통신을 통해 주거용, 상용 및 산업용 태양광 시스템의 데이터 관리를 개선시켜준다. 각각의 TAP는 최대 300개의 TS4 유닛(최대 100kW 시스템)이나 TS4-R-X-Duo (최대 160kW 시스템)를 이용하는 최대 600개의 모듈로부터 데이터를 수집한다.

또한 신속한 차단(Rapid Shutdown)을 위해 모듈 수준에서 작동이 중지되도록 안전도를 크게 향상시켰다. TAP가 CCA와 연결되면 태양광 설비의 시감도(視感度)가 탁월하게 높아진다.
