[편집자주]참신한 아이디어로 탄생한 중소기업 우수상품에 주어지는 서울특별시 산하단체인 SBA 서울유통센터의 '서울어워드 우수상품'이 주목받고 있다. '서울어워드' 선정상품은 대한민국의 수도 '서울'이 인정한 우수상품이라는 인식이 확산하면서 국내외 유통 바이어는 물론 소비자들에게 높은 신뢰를 얻게 하고 있기 때문이다.

특히 '중소기업 제품'이라는 꼬리표 때문에 겪게 되는 상품의 공신력 문제를 '서울어워드 우수상품'이 해결해 주면서 성장 가능성이 높은 중소기업들이 도중에 실패하지 않고 창업성공의 결실을 맺게 하고 있다는 평가를 받고 있다.

이에 디지털 경제신문 '비즈니스리포트'는 서울산업진흥원(SBA) 서울유통센터의 '서울어워드' 우수상품을 탄생시킨 우수기업을 선정, 이 기업들의 창업성공스토리를 기획특집기사로 연재한다.

음식물쓰레기 처리가 사회적, 환경적 문제로 대두되고 있는 가운데, 가정에서부터 음식물 쓰레기를 친환경 방식으로 1차 처리하는 기능성 주방기구를 생산하고 있는 기업이 있어 주목을 받고 있다. 주방기구 및 가구업체 20년의 업력을 자랑하고 있는 미르푸르(주)가 그 주인공이다. 미르푸르는 오랜 기간 유통회사에서 주방 및 싱크대를 담당하던 정진선 대표가 지난 2003년 주방용품을 직접 제조을 시작해, 2010년에는 법인을 설립하며 본격적으로 사업을 벌이고 있는 친환경 주방기구 전문 기업이다.

#주방가구에 웰빙 적용한 친환경 기능성 제품 개발
미르푸르는 주방기구 업력 20년의 경력을 바탕으로 깨끗하고 오염되지 않는 자연을 지키기 위한 철저한 친환경 방식의 주방기구를 선보이고 있다.

가장 대표적인 제품으로는 심플한 디자인의 싱크대 수동 탈수기 '뉴 핸드윙'이다. 핸들링을 통한 원심력을 사용해 음식물 쓰레기의 수분 탈취율이 우수해 기존 자동탈수기와 달리 소음이 매우 적다. 특히 남녀노소 간단한 설치 및 조작이 가능한 뉴핸드윙은 물과 화학물질에 강하며 부식 걱정이 없고 튼튼한 소재로 만들어져 파손 걱정 없이 반영구적으로  사용할 수 있는 것이 특징이다. 지난 2017년에는 상품 경쟁력과 상품 가치의 우수성을 인정 받아 서울산업진흥원(SBA)으로부터 하이 서울 우수 상품 브랜드 어워드에도 선정됐다.

배수구 내부를 청소하는 세척 배수구는 전자동 시스템 제품이다. 버튼 하나로 배수구 내부를 샤워하듯 세척하며 세척후에는 항상 건조된 상태를 유지한다. 또한 내외부를 향균처리해 각종 세균의 번식을 방지하며 기존의 수도에 연결해 세척시간, 간격, 횟수, 세제량 등을 자동 설정하고 균일한 성능을 발휘한다. 전기요금이 들지 않는 것 또한 큰 장점이다.

뉴 핸드윙과 코트랩의 일체형인 탈수 배수구도 최근 인기가 높다. 싱크대에서 바로 손으로 누르기만 하면 간단하게 회전 및 탈수가 가능한 제품으로 편리한 보관 및 향균력으로 미생물번식을 방지한다. 또한 수동으로 사용해 유지비가 절약되며, 역류방지 호스로 악취를 방지한다.

#다수의 특허 및 인증 보유한 차별화된 기술력
미르푸르는 주방기구 전문 제조 회사인만큼 핵심 경쟁력은 기술력이다. 지난 2011년 세척배수구와 향균배수구, 세제 자동 공급장치 발명 특허 3건 이전 완료를 비롯해 창업 이래 꾸준한 연구개발(R&D)투자로 주방기구에 웰빙을 적용한 친환경 기능성 제품을 개발해 특허출원했다. 특히 2016년에는 올해의녹생상품 선정 및 인기상을 수상하는 등 친환경기업으로서의 자타공인 인정을 받고 있다.

그 외에도 2013년 HIT500제품 선정(중소기업진흥공단), 2014년 우수발명품 선정(한국발명진흥회), 2015년 벤처기업 등록, 2016년 ISO9001인증, 2017년 대한민국 발표특허대전 본상 동상 수상, 하아서울우수상품 선정, 조달청 새싹기업 지정환경표지 인증 등을 받았다.

#탄탄한 유통채널 확보, 하반기 내년 전망 청신호
푸르미르는 제품의 품질력을 인정 받아 지난 2012년 삼성물산(래미안 아파트) 납품을 시작으로 국내 주요 건설 현장은 물론 지자체 등 공공기관을 주요 거래처로 두고 있다. 최근 일반 소비자들을 위한 B2C 판매를 확대하고 있지만 기본적으로 굴직한 B2B 거래를 토대로 안정적인 매출 실적을 올리고 있다.

최근 출시한 주방용품 위생 살균기인 '다용도 살균기' 유통 확대에 적극 나설 계획이다. 이 제품은 식중독균이 번식하기 쉬운 '도마, 칼, 수저'등의 여러 주방용품을 건조 살균 및 제균 처리해 식생활에서 발생가히 쉬운 식중독균과 O-157등을 살균 처리한다.

The cleaning drain that cleans the inside of the drain is an electromotive system product. Clean the inside of the drain with a single button as if it were showering and always keep it dry after cleaning. It also prevents the growth of various bacteria inside and outside of the country and connects them to the existing capital to automatically set cleaning time, intervals, frequency, and amount of detergent and perform uniform performance. Dehydration drains, an integral part of New Handwing and Cortrap, are also popular recently. It is a product that can be easily rotated and dehydrated by pressing directly from the sink to prevent microbial growth with convenient storage and antibacterial force. It is also used manually to save maintenance costs and prevent bad odor with an anti-return hose.


#Differentiated technical skills with many patents and certifications
As Mirfur is a kitchenware manufacturing company, its core competitiveness is technical. In 2011, it applied for patents by developing eco-friendly functional products that apply well-being to kitchen appliances with steady R&D investment, including completion of three patents for the invention of washing, antibacterial and detergent automatic supply devices. In particular, the company is gaining recognition as a self-taught artist as an eco-friendly company by winning this year's Green Product Selection and Popularity Award in 2016.

In addition, he received HIT500 product selection (Korea Small and Medium Business Promotion Foundation) in 2013, 2014 selection of outstanding inventions (Korea Innovation Promotion Association), 2015 registration of venture companies, 2016 ISO9001 certification, 2017 award of the original award for patent competition in Korea, selection of water supply products, and certification of environment designation for green sprouts.

#Secure solid distribution channels, green light for the second half of next year
In recognition of the quality of its products, the company has a major trading partner, including local governments, as well as major construction sites, starting with the delivery of Samsung C&T (Ramian apartments in 2012). Although it has recently been expanding sales of B2C for ordinary consumers, it has been posting stable sales results based on basically stale B2B transactions.


From the end of the year to next year, the company plans to actively expand the distribution of "multi-use sterilizer," a sanitary sterilizer for kitchen products released this year. The product will dry sterilize and sterilize a number of kitchen appliances such as "dormas, knives and spoonbills," which are easy to reproduce, to sterilize food poisoning bacteria and O-157s that are easy to cause in diet.

"We are working to establish a well-being-boom in the kitchen appliance industry," Mirpur said. "We will make every effort to improve the quality of our customers' lives by making every effort for the well-being of our kitchen and the environment," he said.
