3D프린트로 한 용기 안에 에센스+크림 두 가지 종류 프린팅
3D프린팅 기술이 의료기기, 전자, 완구 등 한정된 분야를 넘어 세계 최초로 화장품에 적용돼 눈길을 끌고 있다.
글로벌 화장품 전문제조 기업인 한국콜마는 4차 산업혁명의 한 축인 3D 프린터를 활용해 고농도 에센스에 크림 종류를 프린팅하여 보습 효과를 극대화한 기초 화장품을 세계 최초로 개발∙제조한다.
이 제품은 한국콜마와 3D프린터 전문 제조업체인 삼영기계가 전략적 제휴를 맺어 2년여에 걸쳐 연구 개발한 결과물이다. 한국콜마는 디자인과 색상이 서로 안정하게 유지될 수 있는 화장료 조성물을 개발했고, 삼영기계는 고점성 소재를 정밀하게 3D프린팅하는 솔루션을 제공했다.
이 기술로 한 용기 안에 에센스와 크림, 두 가지 형태의 화장품을 한꺼번에 넣어 독특한 모양의 기초 화장품을 탄생시켰다. 3D프린팅 방법은 고점성 에센스 속에 특수 노즐을 통해 크림류의 화장품을 정밀하게 쌓아 원하는 모양을 시각적으로 디자인한다. 화장품 주 성분으로 원하는 디자인을 별도 몰드 제작 없이 3D로 각종 모양과 색상을 표현함으로써 소비자 만족도를 한 단계 높일 것으로 예상된다.
독특한 디자인뿐만 아니라 소재의 안정성을 확보한 것도 눈에 띈다. 두 가지 종류의 화장품을 탑재했음에도 형태와 효능이 지속적으로 유지될 수 있는 안정성을 확보해 성분 효과를 유지함과 동시에 디자인적으로 차별성을 갖게 되었다. 한국콜마는 3D프린팅 화장품 기술을 고객사에게 제안하고 브랜드사를 통해 제품화할 계획이다.
한국콜마 관계자는 “향후 지속적인 투자와 기술제휴를 통해 소재개발과 설비를 개선하고 생산성과 다양성을 확보할 것”이라며 “립스틱과 콤팩트파우더 등 색조 화장품에도 3D프린팅 기술을 적용시켜 세계 최고의 온리원(Only-One) 제품으로 만들 것”이라고 말했다.
[New Technology] Korean Kolmar Manufacturing World's First 3D Printing Cosmetics
The 3D printing technology is attracting attention as it is the world's first application in cosmetics beyond limited areas such as medical devices, electronics and toys.
Global cosmetics maker Kolmar will develop and manufacture basic cosmetics that maximize moisturizing effects by printing cream types in high-concentration essence using 3D printers, one of the pillars of the fourth industrial revolution.
The product is the result of research and development over two years by Korea Kolmar and Samyoung Machinery, a manufacturer specializing in 3D printers. Korea Kolmar has developed a cosmetics product that can keep its design and color stable with each other, while Samyoung Machinery has provided a solution for precise 3D printing of high viscosity materials.
With the technology, essence, cream and two types of cosmetics were put into one container at a time, creating basic cosmetics with unique shapes. The 3D printing method visually designs the desired shape by stacking the cosmetics of creamy products precisely through special nozzles amid high viscosity essence. It is expected that consumers' satisfaction level will be raised by one notch by expressing various shapes and colors in 3D without making any molds that they want as a major ingredient in cosmetics.
Not only is it unique in design, but it is also notable that it has secured stability in materials. Although it is equipped with two types of cosmetics, it has secured stability that can continue to maintain its form and efficacy, maintaining its component effect and creating design differentiation. Korea Kolmar is planning to propose 3D printing cosmetics technology to its customers and commercialize it through its brand company.
