전자담배 브랜드 저스트포그로 널리 알려진 ㈜제이에프티(대표이사 이희승)가 220억 규모의 투자계약을 체결했다고 20일 밝혔다.
㈜제이에프티는 2009년부터 액상형 전자담배 기기를 전문적으로 제조해온 한국 기업이다. 저스트포그는 Q16, Q14, 미니핏 등 다양한 제품들로 국내외 소비자들에게 알려져 있으며 지난해 전 세계적으로 350만 키트를 판매하여 역대 최고 판매 기록을 달성했다.
이번 투자에는 ▲한국투자파트너스 ▲이노폴리스파트너스 ▲위드윈인베스트먼트 ▲스타셋인베스트먼트 ▲유큐아이파트너스 ▲지앤텍벤처투자 등 국내 유수의 창업투자회사 및 신기술금융사가 참여했으며 신·구주 220억 규모의 투자계약을 맺었다. ㈜제이에프티의 기업 가치는 1200억원으로 평가 받았으며 국내 전자담배 기업 중 유일하게 기관 투자 유치에 성공했다.
이번 투자를 리드한 신덕준 한국투자파트너스 상무는 “국내뿐만 아니라 전세계적으로 전자담배 시장의 잠재력이 매우 큰 상황에서 ㈜제이에프티는 뛰어난 기술력을 바탕으로 빠르고 안정적인 성장을 하고 있는 유망 기업으로 평가돼 투자를 결정하게 됐다”고 밝혔다. 이와 관련 이노폴리스의 투자관계자는 “동종업계 한국 1위 기업이며 국내보다 해외에서 인지도가 높아 글로벌 유통업체 및 대형 담배회사로부터 많은 관심을 받고 있다는 점, 수출중심 영업으로 40개국 이상에 안정적으로 제품을 공급해왔기 때문에 성장 잠재력이 크다는 점에서 투자에 참여하게 됐다”며 “올해 미국 전자담배 ‘쥴’의 상륙으로 한국 액상형 전자담배 시장이 빠르게 확대될 것으로 보이는데 ㈜제이에프티도 이번 투자를 바탕으로 본격적인 성장이 예상된다”고 말했다.
㈜제이에프티 이희승 대표는 “2018년 제이에프티의 수출 규모는 전년에 비해 2배 가량 증가했지만 국내 전자 담배 시장은 수입 브랜드가 범람하는 상황”이라며 2019년은 수출뿐만 아니라 내수시장까지 확대해 저스트포그를 한국을 대표하는 브랜드로 만들 것”이라고 말했다.

Jaepti Corp., a company widely known as the electronics brand Jesty Fogg, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an investment contract worth 22 billion dollars. Jaefty Co., Ltd. is a Korean company that has specialized in producing liquid electronic tobacco products since 2009.
Jest Fogg is known to consumers at home and abroad for a wide range of products including Q16, Q44 and Minifit, and sold 3.5 million kits worldwide last year to record sales records.
The latest investment involves Korea Investment Partners _ Innopolis Partners _ Widwin Investment _ Stasset Investment _ Eucuase Investment _ _ Photones and New Technologies Financial Company.
The company's value was valued at 120 billion won, and it is the only domestic electronics tobacco company to attract institutional investment.
" The potential power of the electronics and tobacco market is very big, not only in Korea, but also in the world, " said Shin Duk-joon, executive director of Investment Partners, who led this investment.
An investor in Innopolis said, " As the leading electronics company in the same industry and is more recognized in foreign countries than in Korea, it has received much attention from global retailers and large tobacco companies.
The investment is expected to expand rapidly, and Jafty Co. is also expected to expand in earnest based on the investment.
Lee Hee-seung, CEO of Jaipti Co., Ltd., said, " The export volume of Jaepti in 2018 has doubled compared to the year before, but the domestic electronics market is flooded with imports. "
