IBK기업은행(은행장 김도진)은 ‘IBK-BNW 기술금융 2018 펀드’의 세 번째 투자기업으로 휴대용 음향 청취기기 혁신 기술 보유 기업인 크레신(대표 이종배)을 선정하고 투자를 완료했다고 31일 밝혔다.
투자금은 100억원이며, 보통주와 상환전환우선주(RCPS) 인수 형태로 진행된다.
크레신은 60년 업력의 이어폰·헤드폰 제조 기업으로, 이번 투자금은 베트남 공장 생산라인 증설과 신제품 개발 등에 사용될 예정이다.
기업은행 관계자는 “미디어 소비의 대중화와 블루투스 제품의 수요 증가로 이어폰·헤드폰 시장이 제2의 성장을 진행하고 있다”며, “글로벌 수준의 우수한 기술력과 디자인 능력을 보유하고 있어 투자가치가 높은 기업”이라고 투자 이유를 밝혔다
한편 기업은행은 중소기업의 생애주기에 맞춰 성장(Scale-up), 재도약(Level-up), 선순환(Cycle-up)을 지원하는 동반자금융(3-up)을 추진 중으로, 지난해 6월 BNW인베스트먼트와 1500억원 규모의 ‘IBK-BNW 기술금융 2018 펀드’를 조성했다.
기업은행 관계자는 “4차 산업혁명 관련 기업 등 기술력과 성장 잠재력이 높은 기업들을 적극 발굴·투자해 투자수익 확보는 물론 혁신 중소기업의 도약과 일자리 창출에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
[INVEST] Industrial Bank of Korea invests 10 billion won in companies that have innovative technologies for sound equipment
IBK Industrial Bank (IBK President Kim Do-jin) announced on the 31st that it selected Cressin (CEO Lee Jong-bae), which owns innovative technology for portable sound listening devices, as the third investment company of the "IBK-BNW Technology Finance 2018 Fund."
The investment is worth 10 billion won, and will be carried out in the form of common shares and repurchase convertible preferred stock (RCPS).
Cressin is a 60-year-old earphone and headphone manufacturer, and the investment will be used to expand production lines at its plant in Vietnam and develop new products.
"The earphone and headphone markets are growing at a second level due to the popularization of media consumption and rising demand for Bluetooth products." said a representative for Industrial Bank of Korea.
Meanwhile, Industrial Bank of Korea is pushing for a "partner financing" that supports scale-up, level-up and cycle-up in line with the life cycle of small and medium-sized enterprises, and established a 150 billion won "IBK-BNW Technology Finance 2018" with BNW Investment in June last year.
"We will actively find and invest in companies that have high technological capabilities and growth potential, such as companies related to the fourth industrial revolution, to help them secure investment returns as well as leap forward and create jobs for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises," a source at the Industrial Bank of Korea said.
