삼성전자의 2019년형 QLED TV가 영국·독일 등 유럽 전역에서 호평을 받고 있다.
영국의 권위 있는 제품 평가 전문지 트러스티드 리뷰(Trusted Review) 는 최근 삼성 QLED 8K TV(82Q950R)에 ΄적극 추천(Highly Recommended)΄ 등급을 부여하며, “8K 해상도에 놀라운 밝기와 명암비, 색 표현력이 더해져 지금껏 본적 없는 최고의 초대형TV"라고 언급했다.
글로벌 경제전문지 포브스(Forbes)도 QLED 8K TV가 ▲저화질 영상을 8K 수준 고화질로 변환해주는 ΄퀀텀 프로세서 AI΄를 채택해 ▲초대형 화면에서도 빛 번짐 현상이 거의 없으며, ▲시야각에 상관없이 초고화질을 구현하는데 놀라움을 표시하며, “전에 없던 최고의 QLED TV”로 평가했다.
삼성의 QLED 4K에 대해서도 호평이 이어지고 있다. 최근 독일의 유력 영상·음향기기 전문 매체들은 연이어 삼성QLED 4K TV(65Q90R)를 ‘역대 최고’ 제품으로 선정했다.
비디오(Video)지는 4월호에서 이 제품에 역대 최고점인 946점을 부여했다. 이는 2018년형 QLED TV가 기록한 최고점 937점을 자체 경신한 것이며, 3년 연속 1위에 올랐다.
또 이 제품은 작년에 이어 올해에도 비디오지의 ▲하이라이트(Highlight) ▲레퍼런스(Reference) ▲혁신(Innovation) 부문 어워드를 석권했다.
비디오지는 삼성 QLED 4K TV에 대해 “시야각과 블랙표현 측면에서 놀라운 혁신을 이뤘다”고 극찬하며, 주변 기기의 선들을 깔끔하게 정리해주는 ‘원커넥트 박스’와 원거리 음성제어 기능이 추가된 ‘원리모컨’에 대해서도 높은 평가를 했다.
독일의 AV 제품 평가 전문지인 하임키노(Heimkino)는 최근에 발간된 5/6월호에서 삼성 QLED 4K TV를 ▲최고 제품(Best Product) ▲혁신(Innovation) ▲레퍼런스 클래스(Reference Class) 등 3개 부문 어워드를 석권한 ‘걸작(Masterpiece)’이라고 극찬했다.
하나의 제품이 3개 어워드를 모두 휩쓴 것은 1979년 하임키노지 창간 이래 처음이며, 이 제품은 세부 항목인 화질 평가에서도 기존에 최고 등급이었던 ‘1’등급을 넘어 예외적으로 ‘1+’ 등급을 받았다.
삼성전자 영상디스플레이사업부 추종석 부사장은 “QLED TV신제품이 권위 있는 평가 매체들로부터 역대 최고점을 기록하며 탁월한 제품력을 인정받고 있다”며 “더 많은 소비자들이 QLED TV가 제공하는 압도적 화질과 새로운 라이프스타일을 경험하실 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 시장조사업체 IHS마킷은 최근 발표한 자료에서 QLED TV 출하량이 올해 4백만대 수준에서 2022년에는 1천만대를 넘을 것으로 전망했다.

Samsung Electronics' 2019 QLED TVs are receiving favorable reviews across Europe, including those in Britain and Germany.
Trusted Review, an authoritative product evaluation magazine in the U.K., recently gave Samsung QLED 8K TV (82Q950R) a "Highly Recommended" rating, noting that the 8K resolution is "the best super-sized TV ever seen due to its stunning brightness, intensity and color expressiveness."
Forbes, a global economic magazine, also evaluated QLED 8K TV as "the best QLED TV ever" by adopting ́quantum processor AI ́, which converts low-definition images to 8K-level high-definition, showing little light spread even on ultra-large screens, and surprising in implementing ultra-high quality regardless of ▲siya angles.
Samsung's QLED 4K is also gaining positive reviews. Recently, leading German media outlets that specialize in video and audio devices have selected Samsung SQLED 4K TV (65Q90R) as the "best" product of all time.
Video magazine gave the product an all-time high of 946 points in its April issue. This is a break from its own record of 937 points recorded by the 2018 QLED TV, and has been ranked No. 1 for the third consecutive year.
In addition, this product has dominated the video magazine's "Highlight," "Reference," and "Innovation" categories this year.
The video paper praised Samsung's QLED 4K TV for its stunning innovation in terms of visual and black expression, and also gave high ratings on "one-connect box" that neatly organizes the lines of surrounding devices and "original mocans" with the addition of distant voice control features.
Heimkino, a German magazine specializing in evaluating AV products, praised Samsung QLED 4K TVs in its latest issue of May and June as "Masterpieces" that dominated three categories of awards, including Best Product, Innovation and Reference Class.
It is the first time a product has swept all three awards since the establishment of the Heimkinoji in 1979, and the product has received an exceptional "1+" rating, surpassing the previous top grade of "1" in the detailed category of quality evaluation.
"QLED TV's new products are recognized for their outstanding product capabilities by scoring the highest points ever by authoritative media." said Vice-President of Samsung Electronics' Video Display Business Department. "We will make efforts to help more consumers experience the overwhelming quality of QLED TVs and new lifestyles."
Market research firm IHS Markit, meanwhile, predicted in its latest data that shipments of QLED TVs will exceed 10 million units by 2022 from this year's 4 million units.
