㈜엔씨소프트(대표 김택진, 이하 엔씨(NC))의 모바일 MMORPG(다중접속역할수행게임) ‘리니지M’이 오는 29일 일본 서비스를 시작한다.
일본 리니지M(현지 서비스 명: リネージュM) 서비스는 엔씨재팬(NC Japan, 대표 김택헌)이 맡는다. 일본은 2017년 6월 21일 한국, 2017년 12월 11일 대만에 이어 리니지M의 세 번째 출시 국가이다.
엔씨재팬은 5월 9일 만다린 오리엔탈 도쿄 호텔에서 일본 출시 미디어 간담회를 개최했다. 엔씨소프트 심승보 전무(CPD, Chief Publishing Director)가 리니지M의 일본 출시 일자를 공개하며 행사를 열었다.
엔씨재팬의 리니지M 프로젝트 프로듀서인 오코치 타쿠야는 리니지M을 소개하고 캐릭터 사전 생성 이벤트 정보를 공개했다. 일본 리니지M 출시 버전에는 리니지M의 다섯 번째 클래스인 ‘다크엘프’까지 포함되어 있다. 이후 콘텐츠는 순차적으로 업데이트 한다. 일본 이용자는 구글플레이(12세 이용가)와 애플 앱스토어(12세 이용가)에서 리니지M을 다운로드 받아 즐길 수 있다.
일본 리니지M은 지난 2월 15일부터 사전 예약 프로모션을 진행 중이다. 5월 9일 기준 사전 예약에 참여한 계정은 150만을 돌파했다.
엔씨재팬 김택헌 대표는 “리니지M이 한국과 대만에 이어 일본에서 새로운 도전을 시작한다”며 “리니지M이 가지고 있는 고유의 가치를 지키면서 일본 이용자들의 즐거움을 극대화 할 수 있는 서비스를 선보일 것”이라고 말했다.

NC Japan (NC Japan, CEO Kim Taek-heon) will be in charge of Lineage M (local service). Japan is the third country to launch Lineage M after South Korea on June 21, 2017 and Taiwan on Dec. 11, 2017.
NC Japan held a media conference for its launch in Japan at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo Hotel on May 9. NCsoft Executive Director Shim Seung-bo held an event by unveiling the date of Lineage M's launch in Japan.
NC Japan's Lineage M project producer, Okoch Takuya, introduced Lineage M and released information on character pre-creation events. The launch version of Lineage M in Japan even includes Lineage M's fifth class, "DakElf." Afterwards, the contents are updated sequentially. Japanese users can download and enjoy Lineage M from Google Play (aged 12) and Apple's App Store (aged 12).
Japan's Lineage M has been holding pre-booking promotions since Feb. 15. Accounts that participated in pre-booking as of May 9 surpassed 1.5 million.
"Lineage M will launch a new challenge in Japan after Korea and Taiwan." said CEO Kim Taek-hun of NC Japan. "We will introduce a service that can maximize the enjoyment of Japanese users while preserving the unique values that Lineage M has."
