[편집자주]서울시의 산업진흥 및 중소기업 육성 정책의 효율적인 추진을 위해 설립된 서울산업진흥원(SBA)의 다양한 지원사업들이 관내 중소 스타트업들의 인큐베이팅 역할을 톡톡히 하며 주목받고 있다. 좋은 일자리 창출을 핵심 목표로 창업, 유통, 교육, 콘텐츠, 특허, R&D 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있는 서울산업진흥원의 지원사업들은 중소 스타트업들이 '강소기업'으로 도약할 수 있는 밑거름이 되고 있다는 평가를 받고 있다. 이에 서울산업진흥원(SBA)과 디지털 경제신문 ‘비즈니스리포트’는 SBA의 지원사업 수혜를 통해서 성공한 많은 중소 스타트업들의 성공스토리를 기획특집기사로 연재한다.
여름철 무더위를 대비해 에어컨 등 냉방기구 구매를 알아보는 소비자들이 늘고 있는 가운데, 집안 내 에너지 손실을 줄이는 동시에 냉방 효과를 높일 수 있는 방풍재와 덧유리를 선보이고 있는 기업이 있어 주목된다. 지난 2002년 방풍재 의장등록을 시작으로 출입문 및 창문 단열 보완시공 분야에서 16년 가까이 전문성을 축적하고 있는 김기영 대표의 (주)한백에이스다.
#3년동안 진행된 과제 통해 검증된 '기밀' 성능
한백에이스가 최근 선보이고 있는 주력 제품은 창문용 방풍재다. 5년 이상 노후된 슬라이딩 창에는 기밀재 역할을 하는 모헤어의 노후화로 창의 기밀성능이 많이 약화된다. 이 때문에 내외부의 공기 흐름이 많아 지면서 겨울철에는 외부의 찬 공기가 실내로 유입되고 여름철에는 더운 공기가 실내로 유입돼 에너지 손질이 커지게 되는데 이를 막는 것이 방풍재다. 한백에이스의 방풍재는 방풍재로서는 대한민국 최초의 특허를 받은 제품으로 일반 풍지판에 비해 기밀성과 내구성이 탁월해 반영구적으로 사용이 가능한 것이 특징이다. 특히 사회적인 문제로까지 확대된 미세먼지의 실내 유입을 방지시킬 수 있다는 것이 회사측의 설명이다.
김 대표는 "3년간 SBA(서울산업진흥원)에서 진행한 과제를 통해 한국건설기술연구원과 방풍재에 대한 기밀성능을 공동으로 검증했다."라며 "약 500가구에 실증사업을 통해 방풍재 설치 전후 기밀성능이 최대 70%까지 향상 되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 미세먼지의 유입량 또한 대폭 감소 됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 외에도 벌레는 물론 소음의 실내유입이 현저히 감소 되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다."고 설명했다.
겨울철과 여름철 창유리의 단열성능을 보완 해주는 덧유리 또한 방풍재와 더불어 한백에이스의 주력 제품이다. 이 제품은 창 유리를 교체하지 않고 덧대는 방식으로 이중유리 효과를 낼수 있으며 시중에 유통되는 일명 '뽁뽁이' 비닐과 달리 가시성을 100% 확보할 수 있으며 반영구적 사용이 가능하다. 설치시 유리 표면 온도가 2~4'C 상승하는 장점이 있다.
#16년 기술 노하우 집약된 기술력
한백에이스의 경쟁력은 단열 보완시공 분야에서 16년 가까이 쌓아온 전문성에서 나온다. 모헤어를 적용해 시중에 유통되고 있는 다수의 방품재 제품들은 모헤어 특성상 미세먼지에 취약하고 기밀성능 확보에 한계가 있을 수 밖에 없다. 또한 사용 연한이 길어질수록 내구성 문제가 발생하기 쉬운 단점이 있다. 하지만 한백에이스가 출시한 방풍재는 PVC 경질과 연질을 이중 구조로 적용해 창문의 개폐력 또한 향상시킨 제품으로 기밀성과 창문의 개폐력을 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 제품이다.
덧유리 시스템은 아직 시장에 유사제품이 시장에 나와 있지 않다. 따라서 현 시점에서 경쟁할 제품 자체가 없는 차별화된 상품성을 갖췄다.
#신제품 홍보에 총력...일자리 창출에 도움되는 회사 될 것
한백에이스는 올해 3년 간에 수행과제를 통해 개발한 방풍재 등 주력 제품에 대한 홍보 및 마케팅에 총력을 기울일 계획이다. 특히 미세먼지 유입이 상대적으로 치명적일 수 있는 지역 아동센터, 어린이집과 군부대에도 제품 공급을 확대하는 한편 20년 이상된 서울시 노후 아파트 약 70만 가구에도 적극적으로 홍보한다는 방침이다.
김 대표는 "에너지절약과 CO2 절감, 미세먼지 실내유입 저감등의 효과를 극대화 하고 더불어 일자리 창출에 도움이 될 수 있는 기업으로 성장하고 싶다."고 포부를 밝혔다.

#3 years of tasks validated for 'airtight' performance
The main product that Hanbaek Ace is currently introducing is windscreen for windows. In sliding windows that are older than five years, the aging of Moheer, which serves as a classified material, will greatly weaken the air-tightness performance of the window. #16 Technical skills that include technical know-how
Hanbaek Ice's competitive edge comes from its nearly 16-year expertise in the field of insulation supplementation and construction. Due to Moheer's characteristics, many of the supplies are vulnerable to fine dust and have limitations in securing confidential performance. In addition, the longer the service life, the more likely it is to have durability issues. However, wind blowing material released by Hanbaek Ice also improves window opening and closing power by applying PVC rigidity and softness in a dual structure, and can satisfy both confidentiality and window opening and closing power.

For the first three years of this year, Hanbaek plans to concentrate its efforts on promoting and marketing its flagship products, including wind blowing materials developed through its performance tasks. In particular, the government plans to expand the supply of products to local child centers, daycare centers and military units where fine dust inflow could be relatively fatal, while actively promoting about 700,000 homes in old apartments in Seoul that are more than 20 years old.
