올해 상반기 기업간 인수합병(M&A)이 전년 같은 기간 대비 감소한 것으로 나타났다.
11일 한국예탁원에 따르면 올해 상반기 M&A을 완료했거나 진행한 상장사는 총 47곳이다. 지난해 상반기 50곳보다 6%가 줄어든 수치다.
시장별로 보면 유가증권(코스피)시장 법인 19곳, 코스닥 법인 28곳이었다. 사유별로는 합병이 41곳으로 가장 많고 영업 양수도 3곳과 주식교환·이전 3곳이 뒤를 이었다.
올해 상반기 상장사가 한국예탁원을 통해 주주에게 지급한 주식매수청구대금은 2451억원으로 작년 동기 대비 7416억원보다 66.9%가 줄었다.
코스피 시장에서는 1962억원이 지급돼 지난해 상반기보다 15.8%가 늘었지만 코스닥 시장에서 489억원이 지급돼 91.4%가 감소한데 따른 결과다.
주식매수청구권은 주주의 이해관계에 중대한 영향을 미치는 의안이 이사회에서 결의됐을 때 그 결의에 반대한 주주가 자신의 소유 주식을 회사가 매수하도록 요구하는 권리다.
한국예탁원은 "작년 상반기에는 코스닥시장에서 CJ ENM과 CJ오쇼핑의 합병으로 주식매수청구대금 5031억원이 지급됐는데 올해 상반기에는 그 정도의 인수합병이 없어 줄어들었다"고 말했다.

By market, there were 19 companies in the securities market and 28 firms in the KOSDAQ. By reason, 41 mergers were the most common, followed by three business transfers and three stock exchanges and transfers.
In the first half of this year, 245.1 billion won was paid to shareholders by listed companies through the Korea Deposit Insurance Corp., down 66.9 percent from 741.6 billion won in the same period last year.
In the KOSPI market, 196.2 billion won was paid, up 15.8 percent from the first half of last year, but 48.9 billion won was paid on the KOSDAQ market, down 91.4 percent.

In the first half of last year, the merger between CJ ENM and CJ O Shopping paid 503.1 billion won in share purchase claims on the KOSDAQ market, but the amount was reduced due to the lack of such mergers and acquisitions in the first half of this year, the Korea Deposit Insurance Corp. said.
