[편집자주]서울시의 산업진흥 및 중소기업 육성 정책의 효율적인 추진을 위해 설립된 서울산업진흥원(SBA)의 다양한 지원사업들이 관내 중소 스타트업들의 인큐베이팅 역할을 톡톡히 하며 주목받고 있다. 좋은 일자리 창출을 핵심 목표로 창업, 유통, 교육, 콘텐츠, 특허, R&D 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있는 서울산업진흥원의 지원사업들은 중소 스타트업들이 '강소기업'으로 도약할 수 있는 밑거름이 되고 있다는 평가를 받고 있다. 이에 서울산업진흥원(SBA)과 디지털 경제신문 ‘비즈니스리포트’는 SBA의 지원사업 수혜를 통해서 성공한 많은 중소 스타트업들의 성공스토리를 기획특집기사로 연재한다.

"온라인 시대에서 오프라인 사업은 살아남을 수 없다?" 전 산업에 걸쳐 온라인 채널화가 빠르게 전개되고 있는 가운데, 오히려 오프라인으로 구축된 네트워크의 강점을 최대한 살린 차별화된 사업모델로 폭발적인 성장을 이뤄내고 있는 컴퓨터 제조, 유통 기업이 있어 주목된다. 박승갑 대표가 지난 2015년 오프라인을 기반으로 본사와 대리점이 힘을 모아서 IT업계의 오프라인 넘버1이 되고자 설립한 위더스컴퓨터(WITHUS COMPUTER)(주)다.

#데스크탑 CPU 탑재한 올인원 PC 모니보니 선보여
위더스컴퓨터는 전국 500개 대리점과 국가 공공조달을 통해 PC제품을 공급하고 있다. 주력제품을 살펴보면 우선 최신 CPU를 탑재한 데스크탑컴퓨터(인텔 커피레이크8세대 i3-8100, i5-8500, i7-8700/ AMD 라이젠2200, 2400, 2600, 2700)를 들 수 있다. 최근 소비자들의 성향에 맞춰 슬림, 미니, 미들케이스를 적용해 공간에 따른 선택의 폭을 넓혔다. 특히 대기전력 저감기술로 녹색인증, 환경표지인증 등 에너지절약 인증을 획득했으며, 랜섬웨어 차단 솔루션(누리안티랜섬웨어)도 탑재되어 있는 제품이다.

24인치 올인원PC 모니보니는 시장에 나와 있는 일반 PC대비 성능이 떨어지는 올인원PC를 대체하기 위해 위더스컴퓨터가 야심차게 내놓은 신개념 올인원PC다. 일반데스크탑의 적용되는 인텔카비레이크 7세대i3-7100. i5-7500 등의 CPU를 적용해 성능이 우수하고, 히트파이프 전용쿨러 적용으로 쿨링시스템을 개선시켰다. 또한 슬림베젤적용과 함께 광시야각, 엘리베이션, 피벗, 틸트, 스위블 기능을 탑재했다.

위더스컴퓨터는 본사와 전국의 500개 대리점이 함께 성장하는 성공한 상생경영의 표준을 제시하고 있다. 정책자문을 하는 사외이사제도와 기술자문을 하는 기술자문위원제도를 도입해 꾸준하게 대리점의 의견을 회사 정책에 반영하고 있는데 이는 결과적으로 위더스컴퓨터만이 갖고 있는 경쟁력으로 작용하고 있다는 것이 박 대표의 설명이다.

박 대표는 "지역에 있는 대리점 사장님들과 함께 위더스네트워크를 만드는 일에 공을 드리고 있다. 결국에 그 지역에서 뿌리를 내리고 있는 대리점 사장님들이 우리가 지향하는 비즈니스를 각각의지역에서  IT센터를 맡아 IT산업의 첨병역할을 하리라 본다."고 확신했다. 이어 "프랜차이즈 본사의 갑질 이라던지, 눈에 보이지 않게 대리점을 아래로 본다든지 하는 관행을 탈피해, 대리점뿐만 아니라 협력사 그리고 소속된 임직원이 모두 함께 힘을 합해 손잡고 함께위더스컴퓨터 오프라인 네트워크가 IT산업의 최일선에서 소비자들의 가장 가까운 곳에서 IT기기의 소비와 즐거움을 선사할 것이라고 본다."고 덧붙였다.

위더스컴퓨터의 이같은 상생경영의 결과는 판매실적으로 나오고 있다. 지난 2015년 창업 당시 5억8600만원이었던 매출은 이듬해인 2016년에는 37억700만원으로 530% 성장했고, 2017년은 53억2100만원, 지난해에는 68억5100만원의 매출 기록을 올렸다.

위더스컴퓨터는 급변하는 IT, 컴퓨터 산업의 흐름의 발맞춘 신상품 개발에 박차를 가할 계획이다. 우선 올해는 게이밍PC시장 확대로 고가형 게임전용PC 라인업 추가와 함께 빅데이터분석과딥러닝, 인공지능(AI)의 발전으로 인하여 서버 및 워크스테이션 개발할 계획이다. 또한 B to B 확대, 온라인 전용 아이템 개발 등 유통채널 다변화에도 적극 나설 계획이다.

"We believe that the offline network of WIHUS COMPUTER will provide consumers with the consumption and enjoyment of IT devices at the closest of consumers in the IT industry by working together, avoiding the practice of looking down at franchises or unseen agents."

The results of WIHUS COMPUTER's win-win management have been sales results. Sales, which stood at 586 million won at the start of its business in 2015, grew 530 percent to 3.77 billion won the following year, and posted sales of 5.32 billion won in 2017 and 6.851 billion won last year.
