한국사회가 빠르게 고령화사회로 진입하고 있는 가운데, 재활 스트레칭 운동 기구 등 노인복지전문용품을 선보이고 있는 기업이 있어 주목된다. 이준오 대표가 국내 유력한 제약회사에서 20여년간 근무한 경력을 바탕으로 지난 2013년 설립한 노인재활 및 운동용품 전문 기업 SP헬스케어다. SP헬스케어는 창립 이후 닦아온 업력을 바탕으로 올해 신제품 출시와 더불어 유통채널 확대에 적극 나설 계획이다.
#어른신 관절가동 범위 넓히는 수동식 기구 '필그립 U1'
SP헬스케어가 주력으로 내놓고 있는 제품은 수동식 기능회복용 기구 필그립U1(Pil-Grip U1)이다. 이 제품은 인체의 저하된 기능을 회복시키는 수동식 기구로 가정, 야외, 회사 등 장소에 관계 없이 운동할 수 있다. 노인들은 운동능력이 저하되어 있는 경우가 많아 관절가동범위(ROM)가 좁아져 일상 활동에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 이런 상황에서 필그립을 통한 훈련 및 운동을 꾸준하게 실시하게 되면 관절가동범위가 넓혀져 일상 생활동작의 기능회복과 신체의 균형감각과 바른자세 유지에 도움을 얻을 수 있다.노인들이 아닌 운동이 부족한 직장인들을 비롯한 현대를 살아가는 일반인 모두에게도 동작능력 개선에 효과를 볼 수 있다는 것이 이 대표의 설명이다.
SP헬스케어는 필그립 외에도 집안내 작은 공간에서도 효과적인 스트레칭과 근육 운동 효과를 볼 수 있는 탄성저항젤리밴드와 플렉시바, 악력젤리그립 등도 함께 선보이고 있다.
이 대표는 "노인복지용품 사업을 하면서 어르신들이 집안이나 요양시설 등 제한된 공간에서 신체활동이 너무 부족해 2차적 장해로 근력부족,낙상, 욕창등의 질환으로 이어지는 악순환을 지켜봤다."며 "이에 헬스센터나 체육시설이 아닌 어르신들의 리빙케어가 중요하다는 것을 깨닫게 됐고, 가정이나 실내 좁은 공간에서 할 수 있는 운동, 재활스트레칭에 초점을 맞춰 필그립을 개발했다."라고 설명했다.
#2019 서울어워드 선정으로 제품 공신력 확보
SP헬스케어가 선보이고 있는 필그립 U1은 빠르게 고령화 사회로 진입하는 한국사회에서 어르신들이 사용하기에 최적화된 유일한 관절 운동기구라는 점에서 차별성을 띈다. 어르신들은 병의원이나 일상에서 등뒤로 끈이나 수건을 이용한 당기기, 맨손 스트레칭을 하고 있는 것이 현실이기 때문이다.

이 대표는 "SP헬스케어는 아직까지 기업 및 브랜드 가치는 크지 않은 상황이다. 하지만 필그립U1은 근막, 근육, 관절의 구축예방과 재활, 스트레칭에 우수한 효과를 보이는 의료기기다. 전문의로 구성된 자사 의료 자문단이 이미 그 효과를 인정했으며 '2019서울어워드'에 선정되는 쾌거를 이룩했다."고 설명했다.
#신제품 개발 및 노인복지용구 보험품목 등재 목표
SP헬스케어는 올해 필그립U2와 상지 풀리 등 신제품 개발에 적극 나서는 한편 현재 입점한 온라인몰과 추가적인 판로개척에도 총력을 기울인다는 계획이다.
이 대표는 "고령화에 따른 자연발생의 근육 근막 관절의 구축현상으로 노인분들이 많이 힘들어 하고 계시다. 향후 필그립 등 주요 제품을 노인복지용구 보험품목으로 등재해 저렴한 가격으로 모든 고령어르신들이 사용할수 있는 필수품목으로 자리잡게 하겠다."고 말했다.

Older adults, in particular, are often less able to exercise, causing difficulties in daily activities due to the narrow range of joint operation (ROM). Under these circumstances, a steady stream of training and exercise through Pilgrip will expand the range of joint movements, helping to restore the function of daily activities and maintain a balanced sense of the body and the right posture.
Lee explains that people living in modern times, including those who lack exercise, not old people, can also have an effect on improving their mobility capabilities.
In addition to FeelGrip, SP Healthcare is also offering elastic resistance gel bands, flexible bars and grip gelrips that can effectively stretch and exercise muscles in small spaces within the house.
"While working in the welfare goods business for the elderly, we observed a vicious cycle in which elderly people lack physical activity in limited spaces, such as homes and nursing facilities, leading to diseases such as muscle weakness, falls, and pressure ulcers," Lee said.
