피부과 의사들이 인정하는 20년차 코스메슈티컬 화장품 브랜드가 있어 주목된다. 피부과 화장품이라는 인식 자체가 모호했던 지난 2000년, 국내 유력한 화장품 제조사 창립 멤버 출신인 윤석민 대표가 창업한 피부과 기초화장품 전문 기업 (주)씨앤엠코스메틱이다. 윤 대표는 창업 당시 의약분업이 시행되는 시점에서 피부과를 찾는 환자들이 원하는 화장품을 개발하면 환자뿐만 아니라 피부과에도 도움이 되겠다고 판단하고 본격적으로 사업에 나섰다. 씨앤엠코스메틱은 지난 2000년 창업 이후 600여개 이상의 국내외 병원 (피부과, 성형외과, 소아과, 한의원, 약국)과의 거래를 성사시키며 대한민국의 대표적인 코스메슈티컬 화장품 기업으로서의 입지를 구축했다.
# 저자극, 보조치료 개념의 피부과 전문 화장품 브랜드
씨앤엠코스메틱은 피부과 전문 화장품 브랜드란 명성에 걸맞게 저자극이면서도 피부관리 시 약과 함께 보조치료 개념의 효과를 톡톡히 낼 수 있는 코스메슈티컬 화장품을 선보이고 있다.
대표 상품으로는 우선 '제네시스 샘 (수분크림)'을 들 수 있다. 이 제품은 지난 19년간 이어진 베스트 셀러이자 스테디 셀러다. 피부과 방문 환자들까지도 사용하기에 적합하고 오랜기간 지속적으로 업그레이드 된 수분크림이다. 아이부터 노인까지 건조한 피부 및 문제성 피부에도 사용 가능하며, 레이저 시술 후 진정효과를 위해 사용해도 좋은 제품으로 제네시스 라인 중 피부과, 성형외과 등에 가장 많이 판매되고 있는 제품이다.
제네시스 투명비누 pH 5.5는 17년간 판매된 스테디 셀러다. 피부단백질과 동일한 아미노산 비누로, 천연 아미노산을 베이스로 하고 있으며, 얼굴의 pH와 동일한 약산성 크리스탈 바다. 비누염이 모공을 막지 않아 여드름 피부에 효과적이며 당김이 없고 피부표면의 때를 자극 없이 세정해 준다. 특히 아기피부같이 민감하거나 연약한 피부에도 안심하고 사용할 수 있는 비누다. 무색소, 무방부제, 무합성계면활성제, 무알칼리, 무합성향이며 생분해도도 우수하다. 2009년 12월 VIP ASIA Award(비누부문 “Buyers and Editors Choice”) 선정되기도 했다.
제네시스 댄드러프케어毛샴푸는 지난 19년간 판매된 스테디 셀러다. 지루성두피 환자들이 사용하기에 적합하도록 지속적으로 업그레이드 및 최적화되어 판매되고 있는 두피 관리용 샴푸다. 징크피리치온과 비타민A의 이상적인 배합으로 지루성 두피질환자들의 각질관리, 가려움완화 및 비듬생성 억제에 도움을 준다. 어성초, 검정콩, 비오틴의 함유로 모발에 영양을 공급해 주며, 아미노산계 계면활성제와 마일드클렌징으로 두피 및 눈가 자극을 최소화했다. 또한 멘톨을 함유해 두피에 청량감을 주는 샴푸다.

# 전문가 그룹이 직접 관여, CGMP 시설 구축한 국내 선두 화장품 제조사에서만 생산
씨앤엠코스메틱이 지난 20년 가까이 성장해 올 수 있던 핵심 경쟁력은 제품을 개발, 관리하는 전문가 그룹에서 찾을 수 있다. 씨앤엠코스메틱은 국내 선두 화장품 ODM,OEM사 창립 멤버인 윤 대표를 필두로 창립 이후 현재까지 전국 피부과 의사 중 오피니언 리더 격인 의사 그룹과 화장품 원료 전문가들이 제품 개발과 업그레이드, 관리에 직접 관여하고 있다. 이 때문에 지속적으로 피부과, 성형외과 등 병원 및 고객들의 피드백을 받아 안정성, 안전성, 효능효과 등이 가장 좋은 상태의 화장품을 선보일 수 있다는 것이 회사측 설명이다.

# 온라인 전용 상품 개발, 글로벌 시장 진출 확대
씨앤엠코스메틱은 최근 온라인 전용 상품 개발에 적극 나서고 있다. 지난 20여년 동안 병의원 등 오프라인 위주로 제품을 유통했지만, 최근 소비자 트렌드 및 유통 채널 변화에 발맞춰 온라인 채널 제품 개발과 유통도 본격화하겠다는 계획이다.
해외 진출 소식도 잇따르고 있다. 씨앤엠코스메틱은 최근 1년간 홍콩, 말레이시아, 태국, 우크라이나에 수출이 시작돼 내년부터는 수출이 본격적인 궤도에 올라설 것으로 기대하고 있다. 현재 러시아, 페루, 브라질 등에서 적극적인 수출 문의가 이어지고 있다.
윤 대표는 "20년간 축적된 Knowhow를 수평적으로 확대해 병원용 화장품은 Globalization 하고, 한국화장품의 뛰어난 기술력, 개발력을 적용한 우수한 제품을 지속적으로 개발할 것이다"라며 "세계인들이 원하는 착한 화장품을 공급하는 Professional Cosmetic Company로 발돋움할 것이다."라고 포부를 밝혔다.
