Various support projects by the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency (SBA), which was established to promote the Seoul city government's policies for promoting industrial development and fostering small and medium-sized enterprises, are drawing keen attention as they serve as incubators for small and medium-sized startups within the government. The Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency's support projects, which offer a variety of services, including startups, distribution, education, content, patents and R&D, with the key aim of creating good jobs, are said to be the foundation for small and medium start-ups to become "strong companies." As a result, SBA (Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency) and digital economic newspaper Business Report will publish success stories of many small and medium start-ups that have succeeded through SBA's support business.

It is drawing keen attention as there are even businesses that are even making inroads into medical devices that diagnose skin cancer by developing mono-type stereoscopic imaging technology that they developed to shoot insects. It is a company that specializes in developing 3D filming technology that was established by CEO Pyo Do-yeon in 2015.

# 3D polarizing microscope using single-eye technique and filming method
CEO Pyo Do-yeon, who majored in communications, ran a publishing company before the start of YonSystems and became interested in ecological and insect drawings. In particular, he established YonhSystems after studying 3D imaging methods to produce 3D-captured web insect drawings, and succeeded in developing 3D microscopes and 3D cameras that utilize single-sided technology and filming methods.

3D polarizing microscope with 3D function can be seen in three-dimensional view up to the dermis layer of the skin, so even skin cancer can be diagnosed. This product, which allows real-time viewing of stereoscopic images in the skin, allows diagnosing skin cancer through stereoscopic images without removing capillary tissue from the skin, which is also seen as a breakthrough in the medical device industry. In order to get approval for a medical device that diagnoses skin cancer, Yeonsystems currently commissioned Ajou University Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital to conduct clinical tests.

# Lower shooting costs and increase user convenience
YeonSystems is a company that specializes in single-sided 3D filming technology, its main competitive edge is its technological prowess. Yeonsystems has developed a one-person or one-to-one-size-fits-all technology while lowering the cost The technology allows close-up and close focus control as well as moving subjects to be taken, allowing small objects to be enlarged and photographed in a three-dimensional In particular, it is planning to enter the medical device market by applying 3D to polarized microscopes, and it is expected that areas of application of technologies will be expanded in the future.

Currently, the technology has completed international patent registration in five countries, including the U.S., Japan, China, Australia and Canada, as well as Korea, and is waiting to be registered in Europe and India by applying for patents.

"In the past, close-up filming techniques were an area that must have experts," said Pyo. But YeonSystems's one-sided technology is easy enough to shoot on its own," he explained

Meanwhile, Pyo also won the "Hong Dae Yong Award" at the first half of 19 years of patent technology award ceremony held at Samjeong Hotel in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, in June, co-hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the JoongAng Ilbo.

# Pioneer overseas markets and popularize self-diagnostic devices applied with artificial intelligence
As the market related to skin cancer diagnosis is growing fast overseas, YeonSystems is speeding up its efforts to enter the global market by expanding international patent registration to major countries. It also plans to develop its own artificial intelligence technology and incorporate it into its products.

"The development of technology that we started with the idea of creating an insect sense has expanded to the medical field of detecting skin cancer," Pyo Do-yeon said. "We are pleased that it has become a technology that can save people as well as take pictures of insects through stereoscopic images. We will develop our own artificial intelligence in the future and take the lead in the popularization of self-diagnostic devices."
