삼성전자가 내년 1월 미국 라스베이거스에서 열리는 'CES 2020'를 앞두고 '최고혁신상(Best of Innovations)' 3개를 포함해 역대 최대인 총 46개의 'CES 혁신상'을 수상했다.

현지시간 7일 미국소비자기술협회(The Consumer Technology Association, CTA)는 28개 부문에 걸쳐 'CES 혁신상' 수상 제품을 발표했다.

삼성전자는 TV와 오디오, 모바일부문에서 최고혁신상을 받으며 기술 리더십을 보여 줬고, 특히 TV부문에서는 9년 연속 최고혁신상을 수상하는 기록을 세웠다.

삼성전자는 최고혁신상을 포함해 TV(12), 오디오(3), 모니터(2), 생활가전(9개), 모바일(17개), 반도체(3개) 부문에서 46개 혁신상을 받았다.

TV와 모니터 부문에서는 마이크로 LED 기술, 8K화질과 사운드 기술, 라이프스타일 TV, 게이밍 모니터 등 다양한 제품군에서 고루 수상을 해 글로벌 TV시장에서 13년 연속 1위, 게이밍 모니터 시장에서 1위에 걸맞는 성적을 거뒀다.

생활가전 부문에서는 2020년형 '패밀리허브'와 2구 인덕션 '더 플레이트' 등 삼성만의 차별화된 라이프스타일 가전 제품들이 혁신상에 대거 이름을 올렸다.

패밀리허브는 지난 2016년 업계 최초로 사물인터넷(IoT)과 인공지능(AI) 기술을 접목해 첫 선을 보인 이후 5년 연속 혁신상에 선정됐다.

모바일 부문에서는 스마트폰, 웨어러블, PC, 태블릿, 애플리케이션 등 거의 전 제품군에서 혁신상을 수상했다.

스마트폰은 원격 제어가 가능한 스마트 'S펜', 6.8형 대화면 디스플레이, 초고속 5G, 12GB RAM 등 고성능 PC급 성능을 갖춰 노트의 특장점을 극대화한 '갤럭시 노트10+ 5G'가 최고 혁신상을 수상했다.

또한 ▲새로운 모바일 카테고리를 여는 폴더블 스마트폰 '갤럭시 폴드' ▲삼성전자 최초 5G 스마트폰 '갤럭시 S10 5G' ▲'갤럭시 A70', '갤럭시 A50'등이 혁신상을 받았다.

이밖에 ▲업그레이드된 미니멀 디자인과 다양한 기능을 갖춘 '갤럭시 워치 액티브2' ▲세계 최초로 노트북에 QLED 디스플레이를 탑재한 '갤럭시 북 플렉스'와 '갤럭시 북 이온' ▲러기다이즈드(ruggedized) 태블릿 '갤럭시 탭 액티브 프로' ▲유엔개발계획(UNDP)과 협력해 사회공헌활동을 전개하는 애플리케이션 '삼성 글로벌 골즈(Samsung Global Goals)' ▲모바일 페이머트 서비스 '삼성 페이'도 혁신상에 포함됐다.

반도체 부문에서도 '980 PRO 1TB', '포터블 SSD T7 터치 1TB', 'PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 30.72TB(PM1733)' 등 SSD 제품 3개가 혁신상을 받았다.

특히 NVMe SSD '980 PRO 1TB'는 최신 PCIe 4.0 인터페이스 기반 M.2 규격의 SSD로, 소비자용 SSD 제품 중 역대 최고 성능을 구현한 제품이다.

포터블 SSD 'T7 터치 1TB'는 지문인식 기능이 탑재돼 보안 편리성이 강화된 외장형 SSD로, USB 3.2(Gen2)와 NVMe 인터페이스를 지원한다. 또한 일반 외장 HDD 제품 대비 약 9.5배 빠른 속도를 구현했다.

삼성전자는 내년 1월 7일부터 10일까지 열리는 CES 2020에서 혁신상 수상 제품들을 비롯한 다양한 미래 기술과 신제품들을 공개할 계획이다.

Samsung Electronics won a total of 46 'CES Innovation Awards' in January next year, including three 'Best of Innovation' awards, ahead of 'CES 2020' in Las Vegas.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced its "CES Innovation Award" products in 28 categories on Monday local time.

Samsung Electronics has shown its technological leadership by receiving top innovation awards in TV, audio and mobile categories, and set a record for winning the top innovation award for nine consecutive years, especially in the TV sector.

Including top innovation awards, Samsung Electronics received 46 innovation awards in TV (12), audio (3), monitor (2), household appliances (9), mobile devices (17), and semiconductor (3).

In the TV and monitor categories, the company has won even awards in various product lines such as micro LED technology, 8K definition and sound technology, lifestyle TV, and gaming monitor, making it the No. 1 player in the global TV market for 13 consecutive years and the No. 1 player in the gaming monitor market.

In the household appliances category, Samsung's own differentiated lifestyle home appliances such as the 2020 model "Family Hub" and the two-baseball induction "The Plate" were listed on the innovation awards.

Family Hub has been selected as the innovation award for the fifth consecutive year since it was first introduced in 2016 by combining IoT and AI technologies for the first time in the industry.

In the mobile segment, it won innovation awards in almost all product lines, including smartphones, wearables, PCs, tablets and applications.

"Galaxy Note 10+ 5G," which maximizes the special features of notebooks by having high-performance PC-class performance such as Smart 'S Pen', 6.8-inch screen display, high-speed 5G, and 12GB RAM, won the top innovation award for Smartphones.

Also, 'Galaxy foldable Smartphone' that opens a new mobile category, 'Galaxy S10 5G' and 'Galaxy A70' and 'Galaxy A50' that are the first 5G Smartphones by Samsung Electronics have received awards for innovation.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 with upgraded minimal design and various functions ▲ For the first time in the world, it is working with 'Galaxy Book Flex' and 'Galaxy Book Ion' connected tablets that have QLED display in laptops and 'Galaxy Tab Active Pro' (UNDP) to develop global contribution activities.

In semiconductor field, 3 SSD products such as '980 PRO 1TB', 'Portable SSD T7 Touch 1TB' and 'PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 30.72TB (PM1733)' received awards for innovation.

In particular, NVMe SSD '980 PRO 1TB' is the latest PCIe 4.0 interface-based M.2 SSD that has the highest performance ever among SSD products for consumers.

Portable SSD 'T7 Touch 1TB' is an external SSD that has enhanced security as it is equipped with fingerprint recognition function and supports USB 3.2 (Gen2) and NVMe interfaces. It also has speed that is about 9.5 times faster than normal external HDD products.

Samsung Electronics plans to unveil a variety of future technologies and new products including innovative products at the CES 2020 slated for Jan. 7-10 next year.
