캠핑 등의 야외활동이 여가생활로 자리 잡으면서 독충에게 물려 피해를 입는 사례가 늘고 있다. 또한 농업 종사자 등 자연 환경을 일터로 갖고 있는 분들에게는 늘 독충에게 물릴 수 있는 위험이 있다. 독충에게 물렸을 때는 신속하게 병원으로 이동하는 것이 최선이지만 무엇보다 피해 즉시 실시해야하는 응급조치가 중요하다. 김원주 대표가 지난 2018년 설립한 선경트레이딩은 이처럼 독충에게 물리거나 쏘였을 때 신속하게 해독 효과를 볼 수 있는 천연독충해독제 개발 전문 기업이다.
# 천연 독충 해독제 '벌초롱'
선경트레이딩의 주력 제품은 천연원료 독충해독제 '벌초롱'이다. 이 제품은 식물에서 추출한 천연 알리신(마늘, 양파, 파, 부추, 달래) 물질로 전혀 자극이 없으며, 흡수력이 빨라 유해물질에 대한 해독횩과가 빠른 것이 특징이다. 맨톨과 캄파성분 첨가로 환부의 열을 식혀 청량감을 유지시켜 주면서, 통증을 완화시키고 피부 진정 및 부종제거에 효과적이다. 벌은 물론 화상벌레, 독개미, 붉은 개미, 지네, 모기 등에 물렸을 때 사용해도 효과가 좋다는 설명이다.
김 대표는 "독충의 독, 특히 벌독을 효과적으로 해독할 수 있는 것은 물론이며 소염효과와 더불어 아토피를 가진 사람에게도 효과가 좋으므로 안심하고 사용할 수 있다."라며 "천연 물질이므로 유아 및 임산부도 안심하고 사용이 가능하다."고 설명했다.
# 독충 해독제 조성물 특허, 발명상 수상
선경트레이딩의 경쟁력은 기술력이다. 선경트레이딩은 주력제품 벌초롱에 함유된 성분에 대한 독충 해독제 조성물 특허를 취득했고 미국, 브라질, 유럽, 인도, 일본, 멕시코, 베트남, 중국 등에 국제 특허출원했다.
특히 지난 2017년 코엑스 국제발명대전과 2018년 말레이시아 쿠알라룸푸르 국제발명전시회에서 모두 은상을 수상하며 전 세계적으로 기술력에 대한 가능성을 인정받았다.
김 대표는 "혼자서 연구 개발에 나서다 보니 주변 전문가의 조언이나 연구 자금 확보가 가장 어려웠다. 하지만 결국 해독제 개발에 성공했고 세계 최초의 천연해독제로서 80억 인구의 사용확대 가능할만큼 성장가능성이 높다."고 강조했다.
# 국내외 판로 개척에 집중, 글로벌 제품으로 진출
선경트레이딩은 지난 8월 벌초롱을 공식 출시하고 본격적으로 유통채널 확대에 나선다는 계획이다. 현재 SBA주관 베트남 지역 판매상품으로 선정되어 현지 바이어 접촉 중이며 해외 온라인 채널 과 계약 논의 중이다. 아울러 홈페이지 정비 및 동영상 제작을 통한 유튜브를 통한 마케팅도 공격적으로 전개할 계획이다.
김 대표는 "선경트레이딩의 벌초롱은 벌독을 즉시 처리함으로 오랜 시간의 고통을 획기적으로 빠른시간 내에 해결할 수 있으며 스테로이드가 없으므로 누구나 사용할 수 있는 경재력을 갖췄다. 향후 글로벌 제품으로 도약할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다."고 말했다.
