넷앱이 가상데스크톱인프라(VDI)와 리모트데스크톱서비스(RDS) 소프트웨어 전문 기업 ‘클라우드점퍼’를 12일 인수했다. 넷앱은 클라우드점퍼 인수를 계기로 고객 서비스 경쟁력 강화를 꾀한다는 방침이다. 인수규모는 정확히 밝히지 않았다.

넷엡에 따르면 우선 넷앱의 인수를 바탕으로 새로운 가상데스크톱서비스(VDS)를 통해 가상 데스크톱과 애플리케이션의 사용, 관리, 관찰, 최적화 등을 수행할 수 있게 됐다.

클라우드점퍼는 시장의 환경 변화뿐 아니라 온프레미스나 RDS 예전 기술을 사용하는 환경 및 윈도가상데스크톱(WVD)을 사용하는 클라우드 호스팅 데스크톱을 관리하는 곳이다. 넷앱 VDS는 비즈니스 운영을 클라우드로 전환하는 데 도움을 주는 성능, 고가용성, 글로벌 파일 캐싱, 백업, 컴플라이언스 및 핵심 기능을 가진 엔터프라이즈급의 고탄력 데이터 스토리지를 클라우드점퍼 고객에게 제공한다.

넷앱 VDS는 넷앱 클라우드 센트럴에서 즉시 이용 가능하며 애저 넷앱 파일스, 클라우드 볼륨과 통합될 예정이다.
넷앱은 MSP, VAR, SI 및 ISV 파트너의 역량을 강화해 고객의 문제를 해결하고 성장을 돕도록 클라우드점퍼 채널 파트너 프로그램에 중요한 자원도 추가 할 계획이다.

NetApp acquired Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and "Cloud Jumper," a company specializing in Remote Desktop Services (RDS) software, on the 12th. NetApp is planning to strengthen its competitive edge in customer service by acquiring Cloud Jumper. It did not specify the size of the acquisition.



First of all, based on NetApp's acquisition, the company will be able to use, manage, observe and optimize virtual desktops and applications through the new Virtual Desktop Services (VDS), according to Netep.



Cloud Jumper is a place to manage cloud-hosted desktops that use on-premise or RDS old technologies, as well as changes in the market environment, and Windows-based desktop (WVD). NetApp VDS offers enterprise-class, high-elastic data storage to cloud-jumper customers with performance, high availability, global file caching, backup, compliance and core capabilities that help transform business operations into the cloud.



NetApp VDS will be immediately available on NetApp Cloud Central and will be integrated with Azure NetApp Files and Cloud Volumes.
NetApp also plans to strengthen the capabilities of MSP, VAR, SI and ISV partners to add important resources to the Cloud Jumper Channel Partner Program to solve customer problems and help them grow.



"The ability to provide a virtual desktop experience while keeping data available and secure without performance degradation has always been important, and it is the same now," said Anthony Lai, senior vice president and general manager of Cloud Data Services Business at NetApp. "NetApp and Cloud Jumper will provide a simplified management platform for virtual desktop infrastructure, storage and data management across Microsoft's Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud."
