컴투스가 PC온라인 바둑 서비스로 유명한 ‘타이젬’을 인수한다. 2일 M&A업계에 따르면 컴투스는 최근 타이젬을 운영하는 동양온라인의 주식 86.01%와 경영권 인수 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 인수금액은 밝히지 않았다.

2001년 출시된 타이젬은 신진서, 박정환, 커제 등 세계 최정상급 프로기사 수백 명이 실명으로 활동하는 서비스로 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 대국 및 형세분석, 기보분석 등 수준 높은 콘텐츠를 제공하고 있다. 아마추어 바둑인들의 기력을 가장 정확하게 나타낼 정도의 기술력을 갖추고 있고 중국과 일본, 미국 시장에도 진출했다.

컴투스는 게임 산업 노하우를 결합, 타이젬을 미래 산업으로 성장시켜 나간다는 계획이다. AI 등 신기술을 접목하고 모바일 부문을 강화해 서비스를 고도화하는 것은 물론, 글로벌 역량을 더해 해외 서비스도 강화하겠다는 것이다. 특히 바둑 대회 및 중계 서비스 또한 글로벌 e스포츠 노하우와의 시너지를 바탕으로 더 발전시켜 나갈 방침이다.

M&A업계 관계자는 "컴투스가 지난 해부터 데이세븐, 노바코어, 티키타카스튜디오 등 유망 게임 개발사를 인수하는 등 서비스 경쟁력 강화를 위해 적극적으로 움직이고 있다"며 "타이젬 인수를 통해 넓게는 보드게임 진출도 가능하고, 좁게는 온라인 바둑의 글로벌 서비스 확대에 나설 수 있는 만큼 자체 서비스 경쟁력 확대에는 긍정적 영향을 발휘 할 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다.

Com2uS will take over 'Tygem,' which is famous for its PC online Go service. According to the M&A industry on Monday, Com2uS recently signed a contract to acquire 86.01 percent of Tong Yang Online, which operates Tygem. It did not disclose the amount of the acquisition.



Launched in 2001, Tygem is a service where hundreds of the world's top professional engineers, including Shin Jin-seo, Park Jung-hwan and Ke Jie, operate under their real names, and provides high-quality contents such as big country and situation analysis using artificial intelligence (AI). It has the technology to express the strength of amateur baduk players most accurately and has also entered the Chinese, Japanese and U.S.



Com2uS is planning to grow Tygem into a future industry by combining game industry know-how. Its plan is to upgrade its services by combining new technologies such as AI and strengthening its mobile division, as well as strengthen its overseas services by adding global capabilities. In particular, the government plans to develop Go tournaments and relay services based on synergy with global e-sports know-how.



"Com2uS has been actively working to strengthen its service competitiveness by acquiring promising game developers such as DAVEN, Nova Core, and Tikitaka Studio since last year," said an M&A industry source. "With the acquisition of Tygem, we can expand our board games and expand our own service competitiveness in a narrow way."
