네오위즈가 모바일 게임 업체 스티키핸즈를 인수했다. 18일 인수합병업계에 따르면 네오위즈는 지난 17일 스티키핸즈의 지분 60%를 취득, 인수를 완료했다. 네오위즈는 스티키핸즈 인수를 통해 모바일 캐주얼 게임 시장 글로벌 경쟁력을 강화하고, 게임 IP(지식재산권)를 확보하게 됐다.

스티키핸즈는 2016년 설립된 모바일 캐주얼 게임 개발 및 퍼블리싱 전문 업체다. ‘에이지 오브 솔리테어’, ‘솔리테어 쿠킹 타워’, ‘솔리테어 팜 빌리지’ 등을 서비스 하고 있다. 카드게임 ‘솔리테어’ 룰을 적용한 게임으로 평균 150만 이상의 다운로드를 기록하고 있으며, 글로벌 매출 비중이 70%를 차지한다.

특히 ‘솔리테어 쿠킹 타워’는 ‘2018 모바일 스타페스티벌 대상’, 2018 구글 플레이 올해의 혁신적인 게임’에 선정됐고, ‘솔리테어 팜 빌리지'는 창업진흥원과 구글플레이가 함께 진행한 ‘창구 프로그램 1기’에서 Top3에 선정되는 등 게임성도 함께 인정받은 바 있다.

네오위즈는 스티키핸즈의 현재 서비스 중인 게임 라인업 외에 개발 중인 신작들의 글로벌 서비스도 함께 진행해 나갈 방침이다.

네오위즈는 “솔리테어 게임의 명가로 꼽히는 스티키핸즈의 개발력과 네오위즈의 글로벌 서비스 운영 노하우가 더해진다면 글로벌 시장에서 더 큰 성과를 낼 것으로 기대한다”며 “양사 협력을 바탕으로 보다 적극적으로 사업을 전개해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Neowiz acquired Sticky Hands, a mobile game company. According to the merger and acquisition industry on the 18th, Neowiz acquired a 60% stake in Sticky Hands on the 17th and completed the acquisition. Through the acquisition of Sticky Hands, Neowiz has strengthened its global competitiveness in the mobile casual game market and secured game IP (Intellectual Property Rights).



Sticky Hands is a company that specializes in developing and publishing mobile casual games established in 2016. It serves Age of Solitaire, Solitaire Cooking Tower and Solitaire Farm Village. It is a game that applies the card game "Soliteer" rule and has an average of more than 1.5 million downloads, accounting for 70% of global sales.


In particular, "Solitaire Cooking Tower" was selected as the "2018 Mobile Star Festival Grand Prize" and 2018 Google Play Innovative Game of the Year, while "Solitaire Farm Village" was also recognized for its gameability, including being selected as the top 3 in the "First Window Program" conducted by the Korea Startup Agency and Google Play.



In addition to Sticky Hands' current game lineup, Neowiz plans to carry out global services for new works under development.



Neowiz said, "If Sticky Hands, which is considered a master of Solitaire games, and NeoWiz's know-how in operating global services are added, we expect to achieve greater results in the global market."
