번개장터는 착한텔레콤 중고폰 사업부문을 인수했다고 9일 밝혔다. 중고폰 렌탈 운영 사업 등으로 사업 분야를 확장하기 위한 행보다.

착한텔레콤은 번개장터를 비롯해 알뜰폰 사업자, 오픈마켓, 소셜커머스, 등 다양한 판매 채널을 확보하며 성장해온 중고폰 매입 및 판매 전문 유통 업체다. 번개장터는 착한텔레콤 중고폰 사업 부문의 영업양수도 계약 체결로 번개장터가 강점이 있는 온라인 거래 플랫폼과 상당한 시너지를 창출할 수 있게 됐다. 번개장터는 올 상반기에 보다 향상된 중고폰 시세 조회 및 매입 서비스를 선보일 예정이다. 중고폰 관련 다양한 사업자와 협력을 모색해 중고폰 유통과 사용을 지원할 계획이다.

번개장터에 따르면 지난 해 4분기 ‘내폰시세’ 서비스를 도입한 후 런칭 50일 만에 조회 수 100만 회를 기록했으며, 시세 조회 후 견적을 제안 받은 후 판매까지 완료한 고객도 82%에 달했다. 서비스 런칭 이후 중고폰 사업 매출은 3개월 만에 8배 성장을 기록했다.

번개장터는 착한텔레콤 중고폰 사업 부문 인수로 정확한 중고폰 시세 데이터를 비롯해 렌탈 계약 형태의 고품질 물량, 검수 노하우, MVNO(알뜰폰 사업자)와의 협력 모델 등 착한텔레콤이 그동안 구축해온 운영 역량을 확보하게 됐다.

표병훈 번개장터 디지털사업본부 본부장은 “중고 스마트폰의 정확한 가치산정 등 불안 요소를 해소함은 물론 간편하게 거래까지 원스톱으로 이어주는 서비스가 이용자들의 환영을 받았다”며 “착한텔레콤 중고폰 사업부 인수를 통해 중고 스마트폰 거래 전반을 아우르는 전문 역량을 확보, 이를 바탕으로 소비자들이 신뢰할 수 있는 중고 스마트폰 거래 활성화를 위해 노력할 계획”이라고 말했다.

[M&A] Bungaejangter Acquires Goodmobile Used Phone Business

Bungaejangter said Tuesday that it has acquired the used phone business of Goodmobile. It is a move to expand its business into businesses that operate used phone rental businesses.

Goodmobile is a distributor specializing in purchasing and selling used phones that has been growing by securing various sales channels such as Bungaejangter, thrift phone operators, open markets, social commerce, and others. Bungaejangter's signing of a transfer contract for the Goodmobile used phone business has enabled Bungaejangter to create considerable synergy with its strong online trading platform. Lightning Market is planning to introduce a more improved second-hand phone price inquiry and purchase service in the first half of this year. It is planning to support distribution and use of used phones by seeking cooperation with various businesses related to used phones.

According to Bungaejangter, it recorded 1 million views in 50 days after its launch after introducing the "Napon Market" service in the fourth quarter of last year, and 82% of customers completed the sale after receiving the quotation after checking the market price. Sales of used phone businesses have grown eight times in just three months since service launch.

With the acquisition of Goodmobile used phone business, Bungaejangter has secured the operational capabilities that Goodmobile has been building, including accurate used phone market data, high-quality supplies in the form of rental contracts, inspection know-how, and cooperative models with MVNO.
